If you’re looking to go to
a theme park but don’t want to pay theme park prices Fun Spot and Fun Spot USA
are the made for you. Not nearly as big as the major parks fun spot still has
great attractions and quality rides. Fun Spot has a family theme. The owner has
been in the action park business since 1968. The main thing that the parks
strive for are Safety, Cleanliness, and Fun! At fun spot you’ll never be short
of either.
What Fun Spot is famous for is the collection of multi-level go kart tracks.
For the young and inexperienced drivers they have the Cadet Track. The Cadet
Track the smallest track in the park however it’s also the safest and easiest
to drive on, it’s a great track if you plan on traveling with younger visitors.
The Commander Track is a green railed track that’s 8 feet high, 600 feet long
and in the shape of a figure 8, It is also a relatively basic track and geared
toward younger inexperienced drivers. You can notice The Conquest by its blue
rails and it’s different design. The Conquest is 1000 feet long, about 28 feet
high with corkscrews and turns and runs about 5 laps. The Thrasher is directly
under the Conquest at some points of this 800 ft and 10 lap track. Last but not
least is The Quad Helix Track is the world famous track at 26 feet high and
just as the name describes it’s a quad helix.
Along with the Go Karts
Fun Spot has a selection of rides. You can steer and glide on the water in your
personal bumper boat and slam into your friends and family on the Bumper Boat
ride. You can also do the same on land on the Bumper Cars. The Paratrooper is
sort of like a Ferris wheel except for the fact that the carts are a little
smaller with a vibrant colored top on them. The scrambler puts you and a friend
in a seat and twists and turns you around in circles. Fun Spot is also famous
for its large Ferris wheel that can be seen from a mile away, the Ferris wheel
has taken up the name “The Revolver” and is a must if you go to fun-spot.
For the younger children who can’t meet the height requirements of the other
rides there is a place in the park for them! The Carousel is a gentle ride with
a fairy tale feel on a slowly spinning track with music playing in the
background. The Frog Hopper is a 6 seated ride that springs up and down and
replicates the action of a frog. The Panda Ride is a slow moving mix of a
carousel and the scrambler with an animal theme. Super Trucks puts children in
a small four seat truck as they venture around the miniature Amazon and
maneuver themselves around statues of rainforest animals. In The Teacup Ride
you are placed in a tea cup and spun around, you also have a plate in the
center of the cup in which you can spin-the faster you spin the plate the
faster your cup spins. The Kiddie Train is just as it sounds, a small train for
the children that winds around a track.
Another great
feature of Fun Spot is their arcades. Fun Spot has two major arcades. The Free
Play Arcade where there are no tokens required, you can play classic arcade
games and console games. Or if you’d like you can play in the winner’s circle
arcade. The Winner’s Circle arcade is a lot more modern than the Free Play
Arcade. In The Winner’s Circle arcade you can Fun Spot Air Hockey, virtually
race a Harley Davidson or sport bikes, shoot basketballs into a hoop and rack
up points, play Air Hockey and a lot more.
After a long day of play even the most free spirited people get hungry, that’s
exactly why fun spot has the Oasis Snack Bar located right outside of the
arcades where you can enjoy a nice burger, hot dog, bag of chips, a soft drink
or more.
As little as you pay to get admission in to Fun Spot you really get more bang
for your buck. It’s a low cost adventure park with all of the amenities of one
of the bigger parks. Fun Spot is a great investment if you’re looking to have a
lot of fun for a little money.
